
Kirk Looney
Vice President
Kirk Looney began working construction as a field carpenter in 1985. After fours years of service in the U. S. Marine Corps, Kirk joined SBI as a Skilled Carpenter in September of 1993. Due to his leadership and ability to meet deadlines, he was promoted to Project Supervisor in 1996. While serving as Supervisor, Kirk exhibited excellent judgment and his work was detailed and thorough. Kirk inspired subcontractors and the men on his crew in superior ways to go the extra mile, get the job done, work within a budget, and simply produce more than expected. He was voted Supervisor of the Year in 1999 and 2000 by his crews and co-workers. After proving himself in this demanding position, Kirk assumed the role of Project Manager in December 2000.
Kirk is an executive and specialist for construction, scheduling, and cost-control, and represents SBI in leadership of Project Management. His well-rounded operations experience continuously earns the respect of the owners by ensuring clear communication, management of personnel, and dedicated service.
Kirk is the current President of the Springfield Business Builders Club. He is President-Elect of Southwest Missouri Football Officials Association. Kirk is a member of the Missouri State High School Activities Association, and the Logan-Rogersville Parent Teachers Association.
